Women of Cox’s Bazar
UN Women
Director/Camera Operator
UN Women asked me to produce a film to accompany the organisations fundraising campaign to support the Rohingya refugee women in Bangladesh. Cox’s Bazar is the world’s largest refugee camp. The women in the camp face increased gender-based violence due to the heightened tension within households and within the camp. This heightened tension is often caused from restrictions on income generating activities needed to sustain families. Despite these odds, Rohingya women are finding entrepreneurial ways to support their families and communities. This film follows one of their stories.
